Eileen O'Gorman advises corporate clients on commercial issues relevant to their wide and varied business interests.
Her work includes the negotiation and drafting of commercial agreements, joint venture development projects, corporate restructuring and commercial property transactions.
Eileen has developed a strong industry client base, advising on contentious issues such as breach of contract, patent infringement, breach of copyright and passing off. She has also advised a number of high profile charities on appropriate corporate structures and revenue exemptions.
As Eileen worked for many years in the broadcasting sector before qualifying as a solicitor, she now provides an eclectic mix of music and media clients with expert advice on recording, management and publishing agreements as well as advising on copyright law and intellectual property rights. She regularly gives talks and facilitates group discussions at music industry symposiums and gives opinions on copyright issues to both broadcast and print media. She has written for the Sunday Business Post and been a contributor on Sky News and Newstalk Radio.
Eileen undertook her primary degree in Italian, Sociology and Politics at National University of Ireland, Galway and worked for many years in the broadcasting industry prior to qualifying as a solicitor in 2002. Eileen also holds a Diploma in Commercial Property from the Law Society of Ireland, is a member of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association and a life honorary member of the Federal Bar Association of the United States of America, New Orleans Chapter.
